Armanac Janneau VS (Very Superior) was created by mixing Armanas, the youngest of which matured for 2 years and the oldest for 10 years. It contains a mixture of eaux-de-vie distilled from white vines growing in two important French regions, Bas-Armagnac and Tenarèze. It is the Bas-Armagnac region that is characterized by a sandy subsoil that forms the basis for grape distillates full of light and smooth taste. Janneau VS also lent it to Armagnac. The result is a taste profile with an exceptionally aromatic touch, an extremely fresh and fruity aroma with tones of young plums. The taste is distinguished by woody tones obtained by maturing in Gascon oak barrels.
The secret of making Janneau armagnacs has been sold from father to son for more than 160 years. That is why since 1851, under the Janneau brand, you will find one of the oldest, best, and at the same time most acclaimed producers of Armanac , who has won more medals at international competitions than any other producer.
