Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish

Taiwanese whiskey has always been a "thing" unavailable to the European market. Fortunately, that has changed. Since 2008, the highly prized Kavalan whiskeys are now finally available in Europe! This single malt whiskey uses Ruby Port, Tawny Port and Vintage Port barrels from Portugal to acquire the charm and taste of American oak and the wines that mature in them. Kavalan Concertmaster was named best in its class at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2011.

Color: gold with ruby glow
Aroma: tropical fruits, coconut, honey
Taste: sweet, fruity, with tones of sweet berries, dry coconut. It also carries the undertone of bitterness.
Conclusion: short and dry at first impression. It is carried in a subtle tone of coconut and a hint of port.
