Kraken

Black as the ink of its monstrous namesake, The Kraken is a dark Caribbean rum blended with exotic spices for a rich smoothness and legendary flavour.

It is said that deep in the slate-grey waters of the Atlantic, a merchant ship carrying precious rum and exotic spices was fiercely and relentlessly attacked by a giant Kraken. The ship was lost, except for the barrels of rum, which the Kraken had heavily stained with black ink... Legend has it that the rum was renamed after the Kraken as a tribute (some say sacrifice) to this monster's unquestioned strength and power.

The Kraken is the most bulky of all sea monsters, living up to 3,000 feet below the ocean's surface. It is said to equal the tallest skyscrapers in massiveness, inspiring awe and terror in those lucky enough to find themselves in its wake. This fearsome monster has been known to attack ships and drag God-fearing sailors to their deaths.

The bottle is a replica of the historic Victorian Rum, the handles symbolise the eyes of the monster and it also carries well with them. It was launched in the summer of 2010 in the UK.
