La Maison du Rhum Ile de la Reunion 2011/ 2021 Batch No.4
It is a real treasure trove of rums. La Maison du Rhum Ile de la Reunion 2011/ 2021 Batch No.4 is once again an exceptional rum for any rum collection.
Reunion is an enchanting island in the Indian Ocean and is famous for its traditional molasses as well as agricole rums. The traditional and renowned Riviére du Mat distillery combines two types of distillation - single distillation (aromatic rums) and triple distillation (light rums).
In particular, it uses French oak barrels, which formerly held top-quality cognac. This particular rum was matured in the tropical surroundings of the Reunion Island distillery, aged for 10 years in French oak and cognac casks. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2021.
Limited to 3,224 bottles.
The "La Maison du R(h)um" collection brings together the most famous distilleries in each country. Whether it is rum, rhum or ron, or a sugar cane or molasses-based spirit: this series highlights the differences in the production processes and emphasises the diversity of the spirits.
Different distillation techniques, ages and cask finishes result in a unique and individual flavour profile for each variety.
At the beginning you will notice aromas of exotic fruits in this rum, followed by vanilla and light tobacco. The flavour becomes increasingly spicy and exotic fruits reappear.
The bottles are filled at 49 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l.
In terms of presentation, the bottle is accompanied by a gift tube and a colourful label, all in a retro colonial style. The date of distillation and bottling, the type of casks used, the name of the distillery, the type of distillation equipment: all this is carefully indicated on the label of each bottle, showing that the brand's designers have perfectly understood the requirements of today's spirits lovers.
