LA MAISON DU RHUM

La Maison Du Rhum is a traditional producer of rum from Martinique. The history of this brand dates back to 1749, when Ferdinand Poulain, Count of Mauna and adviser to the King of France, arrived in Martinique and married the daughter of a plantation owner in Riviere Pilote. He gave his name to the plantation in the south of the island: La Mauny Domain.

They were mainly engaged in the cultivation and production of sugar together with Tafia, which is a kind of predecessor of rum. In 1820, the La Mauny distillery develops the production of Agricole rum.

After years of work and changes in ownership, in 1950 La Maison rum experienced a surge in popularity. La Mauny signs appear for the first time on the island in cafes, hotels and restaurants. Export sales begin.

Today, the brand continues to produce its premium rums and has won many international awards for its quality and sustainable production processes.
