Description

A unique rum, this time from Guatemala! This is La Maison du Rhum Guatemala 2020 Batch No.3.

Batch No.3 is limited to 3,918 bottles.

La Maison du Rhum is an independent company from France. The company releases limited batches of exceptional bottles from world-renowned rum producers from major destinations. These are true treasures of rums.

This rum is distilled from sugar cane syrup at the Botran distillery. Thanks to the production site and the storage location at an altitude of 2 300 metres above sea level, excellent climatic conditions are achieved. The maturation phase of the rum is therefore carried out at low temperatures and with a lower oxygen content.

The Solera process is used to age the rum in the Guatemala highlands, first in ex-bourbon barrels before it is finished in ex-sherry Oloroso barrels.

This makes the rum incredibly woody in aroma and taste, bursting with vanilla and spice with a hint of honey notes.

In terms of presentation, the bottle is accompanied by a gift tube and a colourful label, all in a retro colonial style. The date of distillation and bottling, the type of casks used, the name of the distillery, the type of distillation equipment: all this is carefully indicated on the label of each bottle, proving that the brand's designers have perfectly understood the requirements of today's spirits lovers.

Bottling took place in 2020 at an alcohol content of 42 % with a volume of 0,7 l.

Whiskies that warm you up – a selection of smoky and autumnal single malt whiskies
The time is coming when evenings are getting longer and the wind is starting to bite. This is exactly the time for something that will warm not only the body but also the soul. And although autumn can be survived with just tea and a blanket, sometimes something stronger is needed, something with a little smoke and a lot of character: Scottish whisky. This is the time of year when heavier or peaty…

How to make the perfect punch!
Punch – The Drink That Brings the World Together Punch has a long history and remains a symbol of friendship, warmth, and social gatherings. Its name comes from the Indian word pañch (“five”) – referring to the five basic ingredients: alcohol, sugar, citrus, water, and spices. The drink made its way to Europe in the 17th century through merchants of the British East India Company and quickly…
