Quite an interesting and exciting release from the champagne masters, Moët & Chandon. Their Ice Imperiál Champagne is made specifically for sipping with ice!
The base is mainly Pinot Noir (40-50 %), but you'll also find a good portion of Pinot Meunier (30-40 %) and a touch of Chardonnay (10-20 %). Pour it over ice and garnish with a mint leaf or lime spiral and you've got a refreshing long drink.
A new Champagne experience combining fun, fresh and free sensations, while staying true to the Moët & Chandon style of bright fruitiness, seductive flavours and elegant ripeness.
On the eye, the wine is dense in colour, a deep gold with amber highlights. On the nose we can smell an intense fruity bouquet, especially tropical fruits (mango, guava). This is followed by a magnificent aroma of stone fruits (nectarines) and an original note of raspberries.
On the palate, the wine is broad and fleshy, with sensual flavours of fresh fruit salad, the captivating sweetness of caramel and jelly, and the refreshing acidity of grapefruit and ginger.
Moët & Chandon was founded in 1743 by French wine merchant Claude Moët in the town of Épernay, located in the heart of the Champagne region of France. Coming from a family with a long tradition in the wine trade, Claude Moët quickly recognized the potential of sparkling wines from this region.
In 1971, Moët & Chandon merged with another luxury brand, Hennessy, and a year later with the fashion house Louis Vuitton to form the LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) conglomerate, which today is one of the largest luxury goods companies in the world.
