Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial in carton
Rosé Impérial is a spontaneous, radiant and romantic expression of the Moët & Chandon style, a style characterised by bright fruitiness, seductive flavours and elegant ripeness.
It is a blend of 40 - 50 % Pinot Noir, 30 - 40 % Pinot Meunier and 10 - 20 % Chardonnay.
The nose is lively and intense, with aromas of red fruits (wild strawberries, raspberries, cherries), floral nuances of rose and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate the wine is juicy, persistent intensity of berry fruit (strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants), fleshiness and firmness of peaches, freshness and a subtle hint of menthol.
Moët & Chandon was founded in 1743 by French wine merchant Claude Moët in the town of Épernay, located in the heart of the Champagne region of France. Coming from a family with a long tradition in the wine trade, Claude Moët quickly recognized the potential of sparkling wines from this region.
In 1971, Moët & Chandon merged with another luxury brand, Hennessy, and a year later with the fashion house Louis Vuitton to form the LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) conglomerate, which today is one of the largest luxury goods companies in the world.
