Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum
Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum is a branded light rum inspired by the legendary Ernest Hemingway, whose passions besides writing were adventure, the sea and quality alcohol. His ship was named Pilar and Hemingway himself was nicknamed Papa.
It contains 6 different rums from regions such as Barbados, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and Florida, giving it a complex flavour. The makers were intent on returning to lighter rums and their roots in the 1930s and 40s when Papa (Hemingway) was enjoying rum in Key West and Cuba and inadvertently created a new category - light blonde rum. Blonde rum is blended in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry Spanish Oloroso barrels.
The rum is recommended to be consumed on its own or can be used as a base in a variety of cocktails. This rum has won several international awards for its quality and taste.
