Description

Papa's Pilar Dark Rum is a branded dark rum inspired by the legendary Ernest Hemingway, whose passions besides writing were adventure, the sea and quality alcohol. His ship was named Pilar and Hemingway himself was nicknamed Papa.

Papa's Pilar Dark Rum is made from different rums that are blended and aged together. It contains 9 rums from regions Barbados, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and Florida. This rum is aged in a variety of cask types including ex-bourbon American oak, ex-port wine and ex-sherry Oloroso. This gives it a rich and complex flavour. The rum is known for notes of vanilla, caramel, cocoa and spice. It also has an aroma of dried fruits and nuts.

It is recommended to be consumed on its own or as a base for various cocktails. It is ideal for making rum drinks such as Cuba Libre or Mojito.
