R.L. Seale's 10 Year Old
This pleasant rum R.L. Seale's will first impress you with its vibrant golden colour and unique nutty aroma. Its body is smooth and well-rounded.
The nutty flavour is also excellent, with light vanilla notes that come from the oak barrel ageing, and you can also taste the aftertaste of roasted almonds. R.L. Seale's is made to bring you the best of Eastern Caribbean style rum.
R.L. Seale & Co. was founded in 1926 - by Reginald Leon Seale, who claimed the Barbadian tradition of producing fine aged and blended rums. It is now run by Richard Seale, Reginald's great-grandson and the fourth generation of the family rum business.
Richard is best known for his work as Master Distiller and Master Blender at Foursquare Distillery, which the Seale family reopened in 1996. Foursquare's rums have won numerous awards over the past few years while building a steady cult following that eagerly awaits each release.
The distillery is located in the southern part of the island, where warm breezes from the Caribbean flow gently around the oak barrels used to age the rum. This accounts for the delicate 10-year-old bottle's distinctive asymmetrical shape. Also noteworthy are the cork stopper, rarely used in rums, and the 'pirate' gold seal on the label. The black glass completes the distinctive visual impression. This is a bottle that will stand out strongly even in the finest collection.
The bottles are filled with 46 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l.
