Roku Japanese Craft Gin is an artisan gin made by Suntory in Japan. The name "Roku" (meaning six in Japanese) symbolizes the six unique Japanese botanicals that form its base. Each of these ingredients is harvested in season, when they are at their peak of freshness, which corresponds to the Japanese concept of "Shun" - a celebration of seasonal flavors and nature.
Roku is the first gin to come from the world-renowned Suntory distillery. It is made from botanicals, using specific types of plants that only grow in Japan. These include sakura leaf and flower, sencha, gyokuro, sansho and yuzu.
These herbs are a showcase of all four seasons in Japan. In the aroma and taste of gin you will definitely detect traces of ginkgo, juniper, orange peel, cinnamon or coriander.
The Roku Ginu bottle reflects Japanese aesthetic values - it has a hexagonal shape to symbolise the six botanicals, and the label is made from traditional Japanese washi paper. This gin is perfect for mixing in cocktails or enjoying with tonic water and a slice of ginger.
