Description
The limited edition Ron Esclavo XO Islay Whiskey Finish was created from premium Ron Esclavo XO molasses rum. This rum matured for 12-15 years in American and French oak barrels in a tropical climate, and was subsequently aged for a second time under a continental climate in Islay whiskey barrels for 9 months, which lent it its characteristic smokyness. Rum Ron Esclavo XO Limited Edition Islay Whiskey Finish is the first production batch and was bottled in August 2020. Available only in a limited number of 1821 bottles.
Aroma: complex and deep with tones of black cherries, wet wood and mild smoke
Taste: fruity sweet taste of juicy cherries, plums and raisins with hints of skin and peat
