Mezcal as a close relative of tequila can be made from one of 8 different types of agave, while tequila can only be made from blue agave. It is also very tasty and traditional (something like a pie). Mezcal San Cosme is produced in small batches in the Mexican region of Oaxaca from 100% espadi agave and has a beautiful complex taste with smoky and caramel sweetness.
