Santa Ana is a French gin inspired by the vibrant and energetic musical era of the Jazz Age of the 1920s-1940s. It's tasteful, eclectic and adventurous, yet quite approachable and pleasing to the ears, just as Santa Ana Gin is pleasing to the palate. Gin thus delivers a multi-sensory experience along with aroma, flavor and visually distinctive elements.
Santa Ana Gin is produced by partial vacuum distillation, in the Charente region of France. This technique makes it possible to obtain a concentration of botanical aromas without their degradation by heat. Vacuum distillation produces the finest aromas, which become stronger and more complex towards the end of the distillation.
The process results in a fragrant, delicious gin that uses even the most delicate botanicals. In the case of Santa Ana gin, a few classic ingredients - juniper, coriander, lemon, orange, angelica root and orris root - form the base, and the perfumed qualities of ylang-ylang, alpine and fennel are added, along with the sweet citrus notes of calamansi (a type of lime in the Philippines) and dalandan (a type of orange).
The bottles are bottled at 42,3 % ABV and the volume is 0,7 l. The bottles' visuals pay homage to the inimitable dance days of 1920s Manila and its crown jewel, the legendary Santa Ana Cabaret, once the largest in the world.
Interestingly, this gin also has its own music playlist, which you can listen to: here.
