Bas Armagnac lies on the western side of the French Armagnac region and is known for producing some of the best Armagnac. The local soil is usually acidic, siliceous - sandy and is suitable for growing Armagnac grape varieties - especially Baco, Blancand and Ugni Blanc. Bas Armanganc's mild oceanic climate and rolling valleys ensure that the wines they use in their alcohol production are high in acid and low in alcohol.
