The GlenAllachie 35 Year Old Single Malt
The Scottish whisky distillery The GlenAllachie today announces its oldest and most prestigious single malt whisky: The GlenAllachie 35-Year-Old.
Leading independent producer, owned and managed by renowned whisky maker - Billy Walker, has 52 years of experience. Throughout his diverse career, Walker has earned an unmatched reputation for his outstanding skills in cask management and palate.
This 35-year-old whisky was created as a representation of the distillery's unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and boutique, small-batch whiskies.
Walker, armed with decades of experience, selected six exceptional casks of whisky from the summer of 1989 to use for this commemorative release.
This exceptional, antique single malt whisky was matured in three casks of Pedro Ximénez, one cask of Oloroso and two casks of virgin oak. The resulting spirit promises a delicious symphony of rich moka aroma, ripe pineapple, sweet spices, and treacle cake.
Handcrafted in the UK, the robust gift box features hand-carved details on the underside, luxurious moleskin lining, a solid brass “corner,” a plaque celebrating the cask selection, and a removable oak base for displaying the decanter.
A brochure with Walker's handwritten notes about the story behind the bottling and his cask selection accompanies the whisky. The packaging is made from FSC-certified paper made from recycled malt.
The elegant, broad-shouldered decanter adds the dignity that ultra-premium whisky deserves,” referencing the classic GlenAllachie bottle. Product details are printed directly on the glass in gold ink.
The premium wooden stopper features gold foil and the brand slogan “whisky in good hands” around its circumference.
This 35-year-old whisky is proudly presented at a high strength of 48% ABV, natural color, and non-chill filtered, which according to the distillery “allows the liquid inside the decanter to speak for itself.”
