The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Chinquapin Virgin Oak

The GlenAllachie Chinquapin Virgin Oak is a silky 10-year-old Scottish single mal whisky that comes from the Speyside area. She matured for 8 years and 6 months in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. In the end, she matured for 18 months in specially selected Frnech virgin oak barrels.

This exceptional malt got its complex and spicy taste from barrels made from Chinquapin oak (Quercus Muehlenbergii), which comes from the Northern Ozark area of ​​Missouri. Chinquapin is a subspecies of Quercus Alba and adds spicy flavors and aromas. They are air dried for almost four years.

The legendary Billy Walker oversaw the entire production and maturation process. This is a limited edition from the second batch, which means that only a limited number of bottles have been produced. without added dyes and cold filtration. Whisky comes in a very nice gift box.
