Kilchoman Mezcal Cask Matured 2026 Edition is a limited edition single malt whisky from the Isle of Islay, bottled exclusively for selected stops on the European Tour 2026. This exceptional whisky has been aged in mezcal casks, which combines the typical peaty smokiness of Islay with the unconventional flavor influences of Mexican mezcal.
The whisky aged 5 years exclusively in mezcal casks, a traditional Mexican spirit made from agave. This brings an unexpected yet remarkably harmonious layer of flavors to the typical profile of this distillery, and it certainly does not play second fiddle. Sweet peaty smoke, coastal salinity, and citrus freshness meet here with delicate herbal notes, subtle minerality, earthiness, and honeyed sweetness, which are characteristic of mezcal casks.
The whisky was bottled at 50% alcohol content, without chill filtration or coloring.
Produced and bottled at the Kilchoman Distillery on the Isle of Islay in Scotland, it represents a fusion of traditional Scottish craftsmanship with bold cask experimentation.
