Macallan Classic Cut Edition 2025 is the ninth release in the annual whisky series, where the distillery from the Speyside region elevates its craft to a more intense form. The aging of the whisky took place in carefully selected casks – a combination of sherry-seasoned European and American oak along with some ex-bourbon casks. The result is bottled at a strength of 50.6% ABV, allowing you to fully enjoy the richness and depth of this whisky.
The aroma is dominated by a combination of orange oil, sugar cane, milk chocolate and with a drop of water, notes of grapefruit, vanilla panna cotta and freshly baked apple pie emerge. On the palate, layers develop: sugar, mandarin, lemon meringue, and caramelized almonds; the finish is long and elegant with echoes of grapefruit, melon, and subtle oak spiciness.
This distinctive whisky release from the “Classic Cut” series is not traditional just in name - it is an invitation to taste the whisky at full strength, or with a few drops of water, which will open new dimensions of the flavor spectrum.
