Bundle A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Fregatten Jylland + Frogman Conventus Ranae
Navy rum A.H. Riise Frigate Jylland is a limited edition of the popular A.H. Riise Danish Navy. Each sip is a trip back in time and an introduction to the rum that is said to have kept up the morale of Danish sailors during the 18th century. A fine mixture, which is made from several individual distillates - young and old - carefully selected by A.H. Riise master distiller.
All rums from the "Royal Danish Navy" edition are produced in honor of Albert Heinrich Riis and his pre-production of herbal liqueurs in the pharmacy of St. Tomas. Rum Fregatten Jylland proudly celebrates the famous ship "Frigate Jutland," which was a prominent vessel in the Danish warship fleet. She patrolled the Caribbean waters around the Danish West Indies.
The Fregatten Jylland is now permanently moored in Ebeltoft, as a reminder of Denmark's proud maritime history.
A.H. Riise Frogman Conventus Ranae is a modern form of marine rum that has a history of almost 200 years in the Royal Danish Navy. Frogman Conventus Ranae is a hand-mixed mixture with a master distiller and aged in beautiful barrels - each with a unique history.
All AH Riise rums from the Royal Danish Navy collection are traditionally blended as distinctive and strong rums inspired by rough life at sea. These rums have a molasses base and are produced by slow fermentation.
Rum A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Frogman Conventus Ranae commemorates the leached members of the Danish Frogman Corp. Frogman Corps were founded in 1957. Shrouded men in black, with a net on their heads, slowly approaching from the water to the shore. Their task was naval military operations. Coventus Ranae (Latin for "gathering of frogs") is a formal society that aims to strengthen ties between active Frogmen and retired Frogmen.
The rum has an alcohol strength of 60 %, in honor of the 60th anniversary of this association.
