Pierre Vaudon took over the brand in 2017. He continues to uphold his family's heritage, preserving the values of hard work and perfectionism handed down to him by his ancestors.
The house remains true to its vision: to offer ever more ambitious aromatic cognacs from Grande Champagne that will accompany its consumers' finest moments and win their loyalty, while respecting the generations that have built this exceptional heritage.
Lautrec VS (Very Special) is an exclusive 2-year-old premier cru cognac from the important French region of Grande Champagne. The history of this cognac began in 1838, when Paul Louis Seignette decided to combine his two greatest passions: cognac and horses. He was inspired by the strength and nobility of the best horse he ever owned, an exceptional Arabian horse of the Akhal-Téké breed named Lautrec. His effort was to create a cognac that would be as strong and noble as this legendary racehorse.
Today, Cognac Lautrec is patiently handcrafted using secret techniques in the same way as at the beginning of its creation. On the clay-limestone soil in the oceanic climate of the Grande Champagne region, the white grape variety ugni blanc is mainly grown for its production. After double copper still distillation, the resulting eaux-de-vie is transferred to dark cellars, where it ages for 2 years in small French oak barrels, thanks to which the finest taste notes appear in this cognac.
This cognac brand stands out with a fresh floral aroma, a kind of masculine raw power (just like Lautrec's horse model) and a velvety taste that reveals vanilla and a textured leather finish.

Nose: fresh and intense, floral, vanilla sweet, dried fruit
