Coconut Cartel Special
Coconut Cartel Special is a rum that is aged in new American white oak barrels for up to 12 years. This blend contains an exotic aroma of coconut with hints of banana, mango and vanilla. As you taste it, you will detect notes of caramel, sandalwood and caramelized brown sugar and of course coconut. You'll also discover a subtle hint of minerality and a light saltiness from the coconut water.
It is important to note that this is not a sweet rum and is free of artificial flavours and added colourings. The base of Coconut Cartel is a rich, traditionally produced Spanish-style rum. The entire production process begins on a farm located in the volcanic region of southern Guatemala, where sugar cane thrives on the mineral-rich soil.
The story: In 2012, the story of the 'coconut smugglers' began to be written on an island farm off the coast of El Salvador. This farm, originally established in 1918 to supply coconut products, was later closed for commercial purposes. More than 100 years later, Mike Zig brought more than three hundred coconuts in a suitcase to this farm and revived local agriculture. Today, coconuts from this farm are used to make the unique Coconut Cartel.
Bottled at 40 % alcohol, the rum was bottled with coconut water and the volume is 0,7 l.
