Compañero Elixir Extra is a fantastic blended rum with an engaging story. It is an experimental mix of two of Compañero's most popular rums, the orange-flavored Elixir Orange and the 12-year-old Extra Anejo.
A few years ago at a rum festival, an unknown person stopped by the Compañero stand and tasted Compañero Elixir Orange and Extra Anejo. After the tasting, he took both glasses and poured them into one, the result was fantastic! Subsequently, all the workers also tried it and immediately fell in love with it.
This year, the distillery has decided on an official version of this "festival specialty" in the form of a limited edition with a limited number of 9,778 bottles! There is a label on the bottle that is created by combining the designs of the two rums.
Color: amber with brown-gold reflections
Aroma: cocoa, orange, flowers, chocolate, wood
Taste: mild, oranges, chocolate, mint, nuts
Finish: medium long, oak, flowers, herbs, orange
