De Luze VSOP Fine Champagne is a fine cognac made from a blend of eaux-de-vie sourced from the Grande and Petite Champagne regions of Cognac. The wine that serves as the base for this cognac is distilled without filtering.
In 1817, Alfred De Luze and his brother Louise-Philippe founded a wine and cognac export company in New York. In 1822, the De Luze Alfred A. & Son of Luze in Bordeaux. In 1862, Alfred Luze bought the Domaine du Chaigne in the Grande Champagne growing region to start producing cognacs. After a period of inactivity at the beginning of the 20th century, Michel Boinaud relaunched the distillery in 1940.
De Luze's headquarters are located in Angeac-Champagne in the French department of Charente, approximately 7 miles south of Cognac. Deluze has its own cooperage, which produces and repairs casks.
