English Harbour Reserve 10 Year Old
English Harbour Reserve 10 Year Old is a top quality Caribbean molasses rum. Distilled at the Antigua Distillery and named after the town on the island briefly inhabited by Horatio Nelson in the 18th century. A blend of 10 to 25 year old rums matured in ex-bourbon casks.
The molasses in the production of this rum is fermented for 24 to 36 hours using a combination of both commercial and wild yeasts. It is the wild yeast and the seaside location of the distillery that gives the rum a bright salty hint in flavour.
The first records of rum production in Antigua date back to the 1700s. Today, however, there is no sugar production in Antigua, so English Harbour imports molasses from the Dominican Republic and Guyana. They age their rums in storage without temperature control using bourbon and Tennessee whiskey barrels.
We recommend serving at room temperature or with an ice cube. Comes in a gift box.
