Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or Sauterness Cask

Glenmorangie Nectar D’or Scotch whisky is finished in wine barrels after Sauternes. This wine comes from the well-known Sauternes region of France, located in the Graves district of Bordeaux. Very sweet white wines are produced in this area. The barrels used in the production of white dessert wine are loaded with sugars and these naturally get into Glenmorangie Nectar D’or whisky when matured.

The "golden nectar" first matured in ordinary oak barrels, then was filled into bourbon barrels from the Extra Matured series, and finally ended up in barrels of white dessert wine from the Saunternes region. Glenmorangie is a famous single malt distillery located north of the town of Tain in Ross-shire in the Scottish Highland.

Aroma: lime and orange peel, coconut, raisins, spices and rich tones of dried fruit.
Taste: spices with ginger and nutmeg, roasted almonds and lemon.
Finish: sweet vanilla and lemon peel that disappears into white chocolate and spices.
