Green Spot Chateau Montelena

Green Spot Chateau Montelena was first aged in traditional ex-sherry and ex-bourbon barrels, then for 12 months in oak Zinfandel barrels from the prestigious Chateau Montelena in Napa Valley, California.

This is the second whiskey in the Wine Geese series to feature whiskey finished in barrels from Irish wineries around the world - the family that currently runs Chateau Montelena hails from Waterford!

Green Spot Chateau Montelena is a celebration of three celebrated Irish institutions - Midleton Distillery, Mitchell and Son and Chateau Montelena - working in harmony to create a new and innovative Irish whiskey that will appeal to whiskey and wine lovers alike.

Did you know? The black-skinned Zinfandel grape is grown to perfection in the rich volcanic soil of Napa Valley and is harvested by hand during the cool of the night. The grapes are full of ripe, spicy berries that give the wine a distinct and refined fruit flavor, as well as the barrels in which it was aged.

The bottles are bottled at 46 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l. They are supplied in stylish gift tubes.
