Habitation Velier is a brand of exceptional rums that aims to educate about the artisanal production of rum, techniques, and the art of distillation. It is backed by the Italian distribution company Velier and renowned rum expert Luca Gargano. They bottle these exceptional rums at cask strength (at the so-called barrel proof: with high alcohol content) and provide detailed information on the ester levels, aging, and angel's share on the label.

The rums Habitation Velier celebrate the old traditional distillation, producing pure single rums distilled using the 100% pot still method and sourced exclusively from a single distillery. Only a few world distilleries still maintain this historical method of distillation. Each of these rums is therefore a unique creation and a world premiere of their own process. Habitation Velier rum contains rum made from sugarcane and its byproduct - molasses. And this is done without cold filtration. Without coloring and flavoring with caramel. Without the addition of any other ingredients that were not part of the distillation.

These vintage pure single rums completely age in the original tropical climate zone, which naturally stimulates and accelerates all processes occurring during aging. This comes at the cost of significant losses (angel's share), which long aging and evaporation in the tropical climate bring.
