Malibu
Malibu is a traditionally distilled Caribbean white rum from Barbados, which contains cane sugar and coconut. Thanks to this mixture, it has an inimitable sweet coconut taste.
Interestingly, the name "Malibu" is derived from the beautiful beach on the eponymous Caribbean island of Malibu, California. The drink was first launched in 1980 by Carib Brewery Limited and later the Malibu brand was bought by Pernod Ricard.
Malibu is known for its delicious and sweet coconut flavour. It has a light, refreshing and exotic character that makes it a popular ingredient in many mixed drinks and cocktails. Its taste is often described as creamy with a hint of tropical fruit and a slightly alcoholic base.
Many people associate Malibu with summer holidays and a beach atmosphere. The bottle capacity is 0,7 l.
