Description
Using two column stills at the Miyagikyo distillery, which were imported from Scotland to Japan in 1963, Nikka distillery produced a number of single-barrel whiskeys from one type of grain for many years. However, this is their larger release of an amazingly exotic whiskey from one type of grain.
Aroma: Tones of bourbon vanilla and corn with a hint of chamomile.
Taste: Sweet fruity flavors of melon, grapefruit and thick syrup, balanced by crispy biscuits and fresh vanilla.
Conclusion: Tones of corn, sweet and energetic, the last in the finish.
Overall impression: Grain whiskey fans as well as bourbon lovers should be quite happy with this.
