River Antoine Rivers Royale Grenadian Rum
Rivers Royale Grenadian is a white rum distilled in the island state of Grenada from locally grown and hand-cut sugar cane. The production process of this rum has not changed for 230 years.
The sugar cane is crushed by a mill powered by the original water wheel of the distillery from the 18th century. The resulting juice ferments for up to 10 days in fresh air using only naturally occurring wild yeast. After distillation using heat from fire, the rum is filled into bottles directly from 2 copper distillation devices. This rum has a higher % alcohol than other rums. River Antoine is probably the only distillery on the island that does not use electricity.
