Tokinoka Blended in a Carton
It is a blend of various single malts whisky from the city of Akashi, which together create Tokinoku, which translates from Japanese as "the scent of time." For this reason, it is not an aged blended malt whisky, but with its 40% alcohol content in this small 0.5 l bottle of whisky from the White Oak distillery, it is suitable for beginners.
Delicate fruity aromas make Tokinoku an ideal choice if you want to start enjoying Japanese whiskies. When tasting, its light style reveals vanilla and malt aromas, which continue in the mouth with elegance and refinement.
The White Oak distillery, located in the city of Akashi (Hyogo Prefecture), was the first to obtain a license to distill whisky in 1919. Built in 1888 for the production of sake and shochu, the production of single malt whisky truly began when the facility was modernized in 1984. The company Eigashima Shuzo, which owns the distillery, has been producing single malt whisky called Akashi since 2007.
