The exceptional Ukiyo Japanese Blossom Gin was born in Kagoshima, in the shadow of the Sakurajima volcano in Japan. It is made with traditional Japanese shochu spirit. Redistilling high quality shōchū produces a smoother gin that has a wonderfully smooth mouthfeel.
In Japan, there is a short period during spring when the sakura (cherry) blossoms are in bloom. As part of a tradition known as "Hanami", people set out to celebrate the cascading blooms of these flowers and the change of season. That is why the unique sakura blossoms are added to this gin.
It is distilled with juniper berries, tangerines and spices. This combination produces a citrus gin with a delicate floral aroma. The bottles are filled at 40 % alcohol and the bottle volume is 0,7 l.
We recommend serving the gin with an ice cube on its own or in a variety of mixed drinks.
