Veuve Clicquot Rose ECOYL
In 1818 Madame Clicquot invented the first known blended champagne Rosé, today known as Veuve Clicquot Rose ECOYL, and thanks to this we can enjoy its lively and fruity notes.
This cuvée is made using 30 to 45% Reserve wines, based on the traditional Yellow Label blend: the predominance of Pinot Noir (50 to 55%) provides the structure that is typical of Veuve Clicquot, while Chardonnay (28 to 33%) adds the elegance and finesse necessary for a perfectly balanced wine, and the blend is completed by an admixture of Meunier (15 to 20%).
The blend is then complemented by 12% of a still red wine made from red grapes, which adds fruitiness. Long ageing in Crayères Veuve Clicquot (minimum 3 years for Rosé) gives the Champagne its silkiness.
A fresh attack of aromas is followed by a fruity harmonious sensation on the palate. The wine is perfectly balanced in the best style of Veuve Clicquot rosé champagnes, combining elegance and flair. This deliciously full-bodied champagne can be enjoyed as a real delicacy.
Full-bodied and fruity, with intense flavours of juicy ripe strawberries and cherries, pink Veuve Clicquot is an explosion of red fruits and an expression of Madame Clicquot's brilliant and daring spirit.
