This whisky Bowmore 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask comes from the legendary Bowmore distillery on the Isle of Islay, one of the oldest in Scotland, founded in 1779. It is part of the new Sherry Oak Cask collection, where the distillate first matures in carefully selected ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which deeply influence the final aroma and flavor profile.
On the nose, vanilla and caramel open up intertwined with notes of red berry fruits and marzipan, accompanied by hints of dried fruit. The palate reveals syrupy peaches, pears, lemon juice, cinnamon, roasted almonds, while a gentle peat smoke gradually awakens to the forefront.
This whisky is ideal for leisurely enjoyment at room temperature, where its layered character fully expresses itself. It is suitable as a standalone experience (digestif), but also pairs excellently with dark chocolate, fruity desserts, or elegant hard cheeses.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in a gift carton.
