Bowmore 14 Year Old Bordeaux Cask Finish is part of the Appellations Collection. The spirit first matures for approximately 12 years in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a final maturation of 2 years in selected Bordeaux wine barriques.
This approach brings a unique balance between the characteristic peaty complexity of Bowmore and the refined fruitiness of the wine.
The aroma reveals notes of ripe cherries, subtle hints of Black Forest gateau, pine nuts, and sea salt. On the palate, salty and spicy notes unfold into a rich fruit palette – raspberries, cherries, strawberries, transitioning into bitter dark chocolate. The whisky has an exceptional composable character — fruit, smoke, salt, and spice complement each other.
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature, which allows its complexity to awaken. It is ideal as a sophisticated digestif and pairs excellently with dark chocolate, fruit desserts, or richer cheese. With its harmonious smoke, fruit, and salt, it can also be a beautiful gesture, such as a gift.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 43% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in a gift box.
