Admiral Rodney HMS Princessa
Admiral Rodney HMS Princessa is a molasses rum from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. It is produced by distillation using the Coffey still method, whereby distillate is extracted from the bottom of the apparatus to produce this rum in order to obtain a robust and rich taste profile. Rum matured in American oak barrels after bourbon and in barrels after port. In the end, it was professionally mixed from rums at the age of 5-9 years into the final mixture. Admiral Rodney Princess Rum offers tones of raisins, vanilla, honey, Caribbean spices, oak and crème brûlée. Great rum, which we recommend to taste from the Admiral Rodney brand first!
Rum is named after a British officer and one of the key ships of the British fleet, HMS Princess. Admiral Rodney was an excellent naval strategist who broke the French line in the "battle of the saints", which allowed Britain to rule the Caribbean.
