Exclusive Cihuatan Le Suerte is a limited edition rum that has been filtered through quartz and aged 15 years in virgin barrels made of American white oak.
This special edition rum is inspired by the legends of Muwaan Mat, the Mayan god of fortune. The Mayans believed that this god shares the gift of luck through crystals, as they thought that when falling stars hit the ground, they transform into quartz. To harness it, they filtered water with quartz during sacred rituals and then enjoyed drinks at magical feasts.
According to this ancient practice, Master Blender of Cihuatan Gabriela Ayala filtered rums from a private collection using quartz to create Cihuatan Suerte rum, which is a tribute to luck and prosperity. This rum aged in virgin barrels features notes of salted caramel, artisanal sesame sweets, candied figs, espresso, buttery cookies, and cinnamon.
The rum is bottled at an alcohol content of 44.2% and comes in a beautiful gift tube. Cihuatan has once again paid attention to colorful and unique visuals.
