Cihuatan Le Suerte

The exclusive Cihuatan Le Suerte is a limited edition rum that has been filtered through quartz and aged for 15 years in virgin American white oak barrels. A special edition rum inspired by the tales of Muwaan Mat, the Mayan god of good fortune. The Mayans believed that this god shared the gift of good fortune through crystals because, according to them, when shooting stars hit the earth, they transformed into just quartz. To make use of it, they filtered water with quartz in a sacred ritual and then enjoyed drinks at magical feasts.

Following this ancient practice, Cihuatan's Master Blender Gabriela Ayala filters rums from a private collection using quartz to create Cihuatan Suerte, a rum that honours luck and prosperity. Aged in virgin barrels, this rum features notes of salted caramel, artisanal sesame candy, candied figs, espresso, butterscotch and cinnamon.

The rum was bottled at 44,2 % alcohol and comes in a beautiful gift tube. Once again, Cihuatan has gone to great lengths to create a colourful and unique visual.
