Joseph Cartron Cacao
Joseph Cartron Cacao is a premium French liqueur from Burgundy that celebrates the rich and intense flavour of cocoa beans. Founded in 1882 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Joseph Cartron is renowned for its dedication to quality and traditional production methods.
The cocoa beans come from small family farms in the Ivory Coast, where they are finely roasted and crushed on site. They are then transported to Nuits-Saint-Georges where they are combined with a neutral beet spirit. The mixture is lightly boiled and macerated for a day, then filtered.
More cocoa beans and alcohol are added, the mixture is left to macerate for another day and then distilled in a copper pot. The resulting drink is mixed with crystallised beet sugar and a small amount of cognac, which deepens the flavour of the liqueur.
With an alcohol content of 24 %, this liqueur is ideal for direct enjoyment, served chilled or on the rocks. It is also an excellent addition to cocktails such as Brandy Alexander or Mezcal Chocolate Negroni, where it adds depth and a rich cocoa flavour.
The bottles have a volume of 0,7 l.
