Metaxa Private Reserve Orama was made from delicately sweet and aromatic muscat grapes from prized vineyards in the mountainous parts of the Greek island of Samos. This is accompanied by aging in oak barrels and the taste of Mediterranean herbs and botanicals, which are macerated in it for a period of 1 year.
For the first time in history, two METAXA Masters took part in the production of Metaxa and subsequently placed their signatures on the bottle label. One is Costas Raptis, who has been behind Metaxa Private Reserva since its inception in 1992. The other is Kostis Kalpaxidis, for whom this is the beginning of a new era, which comes with soul of sustainability.
The name "Orama" means a vision, which was also transformed into this METAXA. It is the first to be made from sustainably grown muscat vines. Sustainability was also reflected in the new packaging and lighter carafe, which reduced CO2 emissions by 10.4% compared to the previous packaging.
Metaxa Private Reserve Orama will lights up your taste buds in the best way by serving at room temperature, where it reveals its entire spectrum of flavours. However, it also tastes great on ice. Two hours before serving, we recommend avoiding coffee, chewing gum and spicy foods. And of course, a good tip is to have a glass of pure water right before enjoying it.
