Padre Azul Añejo
Padre Azul Añejo is a super-premium tequila from the Amatitán Valley in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Its production is governed by the motto "Good things take time." This is also reflected in the fact that the Agave (variety 100% Blue Weber) intended for the production of this tequila is allowed to grow and mature much longer than required, up to 10 years. The tequila itself is left to mature for up to 18 months in hand-selected bourbon oak barrels. The result is a unique and smooth flavor profile in which cinnamon impressively blends with caramelized nuts and chocolate.
It is 100% handcrafted, 100% agave and 100% Mexican tequila. Up to 200 hands are involved in the production of each bottle of this tequila from start to finish, and it is not only a piece of art, but also collecting elements of Mexican culture. The label design was created as an homage to the Mexican "Lucha Libre" wrestler. The unconventional leather label on the bottle resembles the leather mask of a proud Luchador who has never lost a fight and is hand-laced on the back. The metal skull cap weighs up to 270 g and is made from waste metal. The skull itself is a Mexican symbol of eternal friendship, traditionally celebrated on Día de Muertos.
