Padre Azul Reposado
Padre Azul Reposado is a premium tequila from the Amatitán Valley in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
It is made from agave of the 100% Blue Weber variety growing towards the scorching sun for an unusually long 8-10 years, absorbing its warmth and essence. The long raising of the agave is brought to perfection by several days of slow cooking, patient fermentation and finally another 8 months of aging in hand-selected ex-bourbon oak barrels. The result is, perhaps, the most complex reposado tequila you will ever taste - harmoniously combining the notes of cooked agave with notes vanilla and fruit compote.
Up to 200 hands are involved in the production of each bottle of this tequila from start to finish. Its design is not only a play of art, but also collecting elements of Mexican culture. The label design was created as an homage to the Mexican "Lucha Libre" wrestler. The unconventional leather label on the bottle resembles the leather mask of a proud Luchador who has never lost a fight and is hand-laced on the back. The metal skull cap weighs up to 270 g and is made from waste metal. The skull itself is a Mexican symbol of eternal friendship, traditionally celebrated on Día de Los Muertos.
