Casamigos Añejo tequila is made from only 100% Blue Weber agave, from the rich clay soil of the Highlands of Jalisco in Mexico. The agave is roasted for up to 72 hours in traditional brick ovens and fermentation lasts 80 hours.
The Master Distiller uses a special yeast blend that, unlike regular yeasts, provides a consistent refined flavor. The blend ages for 14 months in premium American white oak barrels. The Casamigos brand is partially owned by actor George Clooney.
The aroma is delicate with notes of caramel and vanilla, while the taste offers a balanced sweetness of agave intertwined with hints of spice and oak. The finish is subtly bitter with a hint of citrus peel and mint, making this tequila an ideal drink for sipping neat or as a sophisticated alternative in cocktails like an Old Fashioned.
