Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master's Select
Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master's Select is a fine and highly regarded blended whisky that is part of the portfolio of Japanese whiskies produced by Suntory, one of Japan's most respected distilleries. This particular product combines a variety of whiskies and ages to create a harmonious and balanced blend.
The production of Japanese whisky usually starts with the selection of quality grains such as barley, corn or wheat. The grain is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for subsequent fermentation. The grain is ground into fine flour to release the sugars needed for fermentation. The ground grain is mixed with water and yeast to start the fermentation process. The yeast converts the sugars into alcohol and produces an alcoholic mixture called "moku".
Moku is distilled in a traditional still - an alembic still. The distillate is filled into oak casks where it begins to mature. During this process, the whisky acquires its characteristic flavour, aroma and colour through interaction with the wood of the cask. Suntory Hibiki contains whiskies from different age groups, which adds to its complexity.
The bottles are bottled at 43 % alcohol and come in gift boxes.
