Vieux Sajous 5 Year Old 2019
Vieux Sajous 5 Year Old 2019 is a limited edition rum from the Chelo distillery in Haiti, run by Michel Sajous. This rum was distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2024, aged for 5 years in tropical conditions. Its alcohol content is 58,3 %.
It is made with 100 % juice from Cristalline sugar cane, grown on a 30-hectare plantation in the Saint Michel de l'Attalaye region.
Fermentation was natural, using indigenous yeasts, lasting between 5 and 8 days. It is distilled using the traditional method, using fire and a still.
It is matured in casks that previously contained rums from the Hampden, Mount Gay, Bielle, Caroni, Benriach and bourbon distilleries. The maturation took place in the warehouses of the Distillerie de Port-au-Prince in Haiti.
The bottles are delivered in clean and stylish gift cartons.
