Description
Aberlour 12 Year Old Non Chill Filtered differs from other bottles from the Aberlour distillery, as the name reveals, by the absence of chill filtration.
It is bottled at a higher alcohol content than the same age variant and matured for 12 years in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks.
Aberlour bottles this single malt whisky without chill filtration. This means that the whisky is filtered at normal ambient temperature through a metal sieve, so that only the residues from the wooden cask are captured; aromatics such as fats and oils remain in the whisky, enhancing the aroma and flavour of the whisky.
The bottles are filled at 48 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l. They are supplied in gift tubes.
