Chateau Selešťany Marhuľovica
The genuine fruit spirit Chateau Selešťany Marhuľovica is made from apricots of the Bergeron variety. The main distinguishing feature of the apricot spirit is the dominant sweetish aroma of ripe apricots. This characteristic is derived from the variety as well as from the soil and climatic conditions of cultivation in southern Slovakia. Its taste is strongly aromatic and fresh, with a slight sweetish tinge. In the distillate of Bergeron apricots, you will find a balanced, warm to honeyed flavour, accentuated by sharper notes at the end, which gradually fade with further ageing.
The Bergeron apricot is a late French variety with fruit of excellent flavour. The fruit is medium-sized, orange-yellow with a light red cheek, the flesh is orange, firm, juicy, sweet and aromatic. The variety is mostly disease-free. The fruit ripens in the first week of August.
The distillate has been bottled at 52 % alcohol and the bottles have a volume of 0,5 litres.
