Chateau Selešťany Hontianska parádna Slivovica

Genuine fruit spirit Chateau Selešt'any Hontianska parádna Slivovica is made from the Stanley plum variety, originating from far away America.

The Stanley plum is a variety of domestic plum. It has dark purple, large, oblong fruits which are among the tastiest of plums. The flesh is yellowish, very juicy, sweet and separable from the stone. The fruit is delicious fresh, ripe and firm enough to be pickled, and the high sugar content ensures an excellent flavour even in dried form. It flowers in late spring and ripens in early September, is high and regular fruiting, disease resistant and thrives in warmer, sheltered positions. This variety originates from the USA and is popular for its fertility as well as its hardiness.

In 2013, Chateau Selešt'any launched the production of real spirits in a fruit distillery and grower distillery under the auspices of their friend Gabe Karlin. The bottles are filled at 45 % alcohol.
