Chateau Selešťany Hontianska Parádna Plum Brandy

The authentic fruit distillate Chateau Selešťany Hontianska parádna Slivovica is made from the Stanley plum variety, which originates from faraway America.

Stanley Plum is a variety of domestic plum. It has large, dark purple, elongated fruits that are among the tastiest of plums. Its flesh is yellowish, very juicy, sweet, and separates easily from the pit. The fruits are excellent fresh, and when ripe, they are firm enough for canning, with a high sugar content that ensures great flavor even in dried form. It blooms in late spring and ripens in early September, is highly and regularly productive, resistant to diseases, and thrives in warmer, sheltered locations. This variety comes from the USA and is favored for its fertility as well as its hardiness.

In 2013, Chateau Selešťany launched the production of authentic distillates in their fruit distillery and grower's distillery under the patronage of their friend Gabo Karlina. The bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 45 %.
