A strong straight malt whisky, with no one knowing which distillery it comes from. Finlaggan is a well-kept secret.

The single malt is named after Loch Finlaggan, a loch located on the island of Islay. Many centuries ago, the Lord of the Isles ruled Scotland from Finlaggan Castle.

The flavour of the whisky is rich, sweet and smoky. Iodine and lemon zest also appear, with a lovely oiliness in the mouth.

Finlaggan was the first brand for the Vintage Malt Whisky Company Ltd, which focuses on bottled whiskies from the Highland and Islands region. The brand was designed to embody the spirit of Islay and is named after a lake on the north side of the island, west of Port Askaig. It is produced in three basic expressions; Old Reserve, Eilean Mor and Cask Strength.

The bottles are 0,7 l and come in stylish gift cartons.
